“Music, Stage, and I : Inseparable”
Life is often compared to music—it is indeed an easy comparison to make. The tune, the lyrics, the suspense as each high notes were reached by the singer, and the gestures the singer performed. There’s something magical about performing on stage—a sense of passion, expression, pure love and inspiration. Imagine being able to take place on that stage among other performers, a once-in-a-lifetime to perform and sing at your very best. What kind of music genre do you like to sing? There are lots of music genres: Pop, Rn’B, Mellow, Ballad, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Rock, and a lot more...
In this next scenario the curtain is up, the crowd is waiting, and the spotlight is on ME...
A TYPICAL SINGER, that’s what I am. I sing every lyric of a song the way the song demands it. Sometimes I had to listen to the song over and over again just to feel it and ask for take two’s and good enough the SONG WRITER who’s also my MENTOR and VOICE COACH gives me the chance to correct the flaws I once did, He’s very patient and supportive. The STAGE DIRECTORS instructs me on how to deliver the song with strong feelings when needed and on how to tame down when the lyrics ask for simpler facial expression, they really want me to give my best. The changing tunes and dictions helps me a lot to switch moods and feelings. Then again, I’ll do better than good. I’ll hear compliments very pleasing to ears. “Break a leg!”, they cheer. Whenever I hear the audience applaud me I get even more excited.
As human, I admit I commit mistakes. As a singer, I also admit I am out of tune sometimes—flat or even sharp. These are the reasons why I listen to the reminders of the Stage Directors and the PRODUCTION STAFF as well. I also take my FANS advice and feedbacks to allow my potential growth. I have the courage to admit their advices wholeheartedly. Because of them I manage to put in flavor to every song I sing, my body speaks too with its unique gestures when I’m on stage. My fans enjoy singing with the kind of music I love to sing. They are always there to support me.
During my performance, it’s amazing that the manner of delivering the song confirm the emotions needed. The crowd applauds, it seems they loved it. Me too, I really love it whenever I entertain my audience. From dawn ‘til dusk there’s not a second I’m without a tune that’s why singing is my passion and I consider MUSIC not just a hobby because indeed it’s my life. I simply enjoy everything when I am on stage. I see to it that in every performance I share to my audience was my best shot.
“My dream is to sing a song about love and life, a song to end the world of strife. I will share this dream to each and every voice around the world as we lift our hands together and sing out loud with peace and harmony. Across the earth I would like to teach the whole wide world to sing.”
I am very happy that my performance goes off without a hitch, and the show was indeed a huge success. The crowd has gone home happy after the encore. Now, the theatre is quite and the time has come for me to thank the people who helped me make it through: I would like to extend my incessant gratitude to the STAGE DIRECTORS (my Mom and Dad) for letting me grow, for loving me and for always believing in me. Thank you to the PRODUCTION STAFF (my Siblings) for always standing right next to me. To all my FANS (my friends) I feel you, thank y’all for being there for me whenever I’m in trouble and need a helping hand. Last but definitely not least I would like to thank the composer of my life, the One who’s always there for me, my SONG WRITER, my MENTOR and my VOICE COACH no other than “The Almighty”.
